Michael: This week’s photo is a portion of Ciclovía in Bogotá. While they have it in other countries like Australia, Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Canada Ecuador, Mexico and some places in the USA, it all began here in Bogotá
Graciela: Every Sunday and on Holidays they close 120 KM of streets around the city to cars between the hours of 7AM and 2PM. People then use those streets to ride their bikes, rollerblade, walk their dogs or just take a stroll.
Michael: An estimated two million citizens take advantage of Bogotá’s Ciclovía making it, not only the the first in the world, but also the largest.
